Amber Walton-Amar, Canadian Cellist | Amber Walton-Amar is a freelance cellist and cello teacher. She provides live acoustic and electric performances for weddings and corporate events in Prince Edward County, Toronto and Ottawa. Her solo project, Echoes from the North, are cello soundscapes for meditation and yoga. Amber is founder of electric cello duo CELLA, and cellist with the Bowed Arts String Quartet.

Amber Cello
My husband hired Amber to play the cello for us as we celebrated our anniversary at a local restaurant. It was a marvellous surprise. Amber plays beautifully and she even took the time to learn a favourite piece of mine, which brought me to tears. We were not the only ones who enjoyed her playing. We were at an outdoor patio and all the diners had the pleasure of hearing her play. Thank you, Amber. It was a magical afternoon.

Amber and her husband played at our outdoor ceremony in Prince Edward County this fall. Amber went out of her way to really understand our musical tastes - even creating two custom indie rock arrangements for our walks down the aisle. We had many guests comment at how perfect the cello and guitar accompaniment was. We fully agree - their playing made for such a beautiful and emotional walk down the aisle, and we enjoyed every moment of the music.

Amber was a true professional. She was very accommodating and helped us set and choose the song list. We really liked the details in providing us with suggestions on what songs are appropriate. She was very flexible and even changed the colour of her dress for us. She was definitely one of the highlights in my wedding ceremony and it wouldn't have been complete without her.

Amber created an amazing ambiance for our wedding day. The cello and violin duo had a range of songs to choose from that allowed us to make the music be personalized for us and our guests. She was super professional throughout and we could not speak higher of the whole experience of working with her.
